Down Time

Down time can be equally as stressful as it is satisfying for me. Somehow, with all the craziness of Christmas it just doesn't seem right to literally have NOWHERE to be, just a couple weeks after the fact. Nowhere at all. The snowstorm has complicated matters further by making it ridiculously difficult to get out and about. Cabin Fever is a term I have become very familiar with this past week.

So I am home, hard at work on new marketing materials, a possible showcase of my artwork photography, and an entirely revamped pricing structure that will include packages for the first time ever.

Just tonight I've discovered a whole chunk of blogs that interest me. Namely, the blogs of a wonderful group of old friends. I don't know how I have been in the dark this long, but I'm all inspired now, to keep things here looking brighter and updated more regularly. Who knows how long inspiration will last, but for now, it's alive and well.

The sad news? There are NO new photos to share. Not one.

Do you want to know why?

So did I!

I cannot load any photos onto my computer. Nothing from Christmas has even seen the light of day. I asked the husband for help, and in the least-most helpful way, he told me that I was having "motherboard issues." Thanks darling, glad to know it. What's a motherboard?
I'm only half-serious, of course. In theory, I know exactly what he's talking about. In practice, I'm hopeless. All of this amounts to me getting a new computer by week's end. After completely filling a hard drive this year, I was due, anyway.

Look forward to more photos, faster, in 2008! ha!
Since my artwork is on my mind, enjoy these two photos from the summer of 2005:

Emily,
I am excited I found you. It's been so long. I have wanted to get in touch with you who knows how many times. I love all your pictures! I don't have a little one of my own yet, but when I do I might just have to fly you out to Michigan to take some pictures!!
